Photographing Mark

Over the years I have had to take many portrait photos. Babies, adults, pets, horses, donkeys, cats and dogs. To-day I was asked to photograph a skunk! Well remember that fairground game where you hit the rat as it comes down a drainpipe? Well it was a bit like that. He was out of his box and gone. Anyway here is my first Skunk Pet Portrait.

You can see more of my portraits on my website. www.lenhuttonphotos.com

Important Email Marketing Laws

Are you aware of the various email marketing laws that are in effect
throughout the United States and other countries? It is
important that you take the time to educate yourself on this
topic before you procedure with an email marketing campaign. 36
of the 50 states have privacy laws in place regarding email
marketing tactics. There are also laws in Europe, Australia, and
Asia. It is a good idea to have an attorney who specializes in
these laws to assist you with your email marketing campaigns. If
you are a small business planning to go about it on your own, it
is very important that you are aware of how these laws affect
you.

Regulators of the internet are getting harder on marketers who
violate these laws. They are imposing huge fines. In some cases
the sender of these marketing emails can be sentenced to jail
for a maximum of five years. The harsher regulations are to
protect the users of the internet and email services who felt
their privacy was being violated as their email continued to be
bogged down with hundreds of solicitation emails that were
randomly sent without any target market in mind. As the use of
email marketing continues to grow, expect the regulations to be
further enforced.

People photography

People photography

If you enjoy photographing events and love to take pictures of people have you ever considered photography as a career or even just a means to making some money on the side to pay for your hobby?

Probably the hardest part is getting started. These days it’s probably easier than it has ever been to get into photography as a profession. What with the introduction of digital Portrait and wedding photography, taking photographs has become a lot easier, sorting and presenting the photographs is also much cheaper and can be made to look a lot more professional, as you don’t have to print any photographs that you are not going to sell, and all your presentation can be done as a CD slide show.
Probably the best way to start is to take portraits to get a bit of experience, why not try a bit of event photography to help you to get used to working fast.

Digital wedding photography tips...
Certainly don’t try any digital wedding photography until you feel pretty confident.
Try to get some experience of wedding photography by offering to go out with a professional wedding photographer for a few occasions. Offer him the opportunity to use any photographs that you may take as a thank you for the experience.
If you can get proficient at digital wedding photography you will always be able to earn a bit of extra money. (As there are always more weddings on a Saturday than there will ever be enough wedding photographers to cover them.)

Most good wedding photographers love doing weddings and that’s what probably makes them good. However, some very good portrait and general photographers start to go grey just thinking they may have to do a wedding.

A word of warning!
If you find it hard to talk to people, leave wedding photography well alone.

For more information on digital wedding photography tips and other photography subjects keep en eye on future postings here.

Power through the people

Have you come across a person who is so naturally friendly that when you put him inside a room of strangers, he'll be friends with almost everyone in no time? We call such a people-person, someone unbelievably nice and charismatic that he can charm anyone into doing anything.

A socially-empowered person achieves so much greatness, basically because of the people that catapult him to success. He earns the trust and all-out support of the people, whom he had helped before. He never runs out of help. He can do anything with the plethora of people behind him. All because he knows he maximizes his social potential!

See, if you know your social skills and you make use of them, you will reach self-empowerment. Self-empowerment is making a general overhaul in your life and turning yourself into a happier and more successful person. If you can be one of those people-persons, then I can't see any reason why you will not succeed. You just have to know how to start.

1. Be genuine.

Hypocrisy will just bring you all the way down. Be genuinely nice and interested to people. Once they perceive that you are Mr. Hypocrite with selfish intentions, you might as well say goodbye to self-empowerment.

2. Be the greatest listener that you can be.

To earn the love and trust of the people, listen to their problems and sympathize with them. Do not just hear them out, listen to them with your heart. Make eye contact when the person talks to you. Listen as if every word matters, and it does. Brownie points when they find out that there is a confidante in you.

3. Laugh out loud.

I do not mean that you force yourself to laugh for every joke cracked by someone, albeit you do not find it funny at all. This means finding humour in things and not being too darn serious. A person oozing with an awesome sense of humour attracts crowds and eventually, attracts success.

4. Don't forget yourself.

In the process of fluttering around like a social butterfly, you might forget yourself, allowing everyone to push you over. Remember, love and value yourself before anyone else. If you deem yourself respectable and worthy of affection, people will flock to you and not trample on you.

5. Do random acts of kindness.

You don't have to do a John Rockefeller and blow your savings to charity. Little acts of kindness matters the most, and this can be as simple as giving someone a surprise you-take-care card or helping an elderly cross the street. When we were kindergarten students, kindness was taught to us and greatly practiced. Now is the time to revive the good deeds and this time, let them stay for good.

6. Contact your old friends.

Sad how some friendships are destined to goodbye, but thanks to technology, you can do something about it. Relive the good old days by flipping your yearbook and look for the great people whom you want to communicate with again. Adding these old friends to your roster of support peers will surely make you feel good all over.

7. Develop your personality.

Are you grouchy, grumpy and generally morose? Whoa, you can't go through life with those. Get rid of the bad traits and habits that perpetually hamper your growth. And really, who wants a grouchy friend anyway?

8. Be confident.

Be able to stride to the other corner of the room and introduce yourself to people with that winning smile of yours. Just remember: be confident, not arrogant.

9. Practice control.

When angry, don't snap at anyone. Never throw a tantrum. Stay calm and collected. Be adult enough to take control of situation and transform your anger into something more productive and passive. As soon as people think your anger goes to volcanic proportions easily, they will find it hard to come to you.

10. Keep nurturing your relationships.

Your relationship with your family, friends and significant others is too precious that you must not neglect it whatever happens. Go out and have fun with them. Do things together. Happiness will never fly from your side as long as the people who matter the most are close to you.

In the end, using people for self-empowerment means becoming a better and more lovable person. It's a win-win situation: the people know they can turn to you anytime and vice versa.

My New Year News Letter.

Now Is The Time To Believe

Everyone has that earnest aspiration to succeed. Your ability to establish and accomplish goals will mould your happiness and success over and above any skill you can ever realize. You can not hit the target when you can not see it.

The foundation and point of origin of success, is that when you decides exactly what you really and truly want, in all aspects of your life.

If every individual has that yearning for winning, and if success is accessible to everybody, why then, do only a few succeed? This is because only a few believe in their potentials, and most of all, only a few started by defining and acknowledging a goal, and truly believe in their spirit and minds that they can achieve that goal.

Just wishing for something is so much different from being able and prepared to accept it. Nobody is ever prepared to accept anything until they truly believe that they can obtain it.

The mind must first be in a state of believing and not just hoping or wishing for something. An open mind is important in believing and a closed mind never inspires courage, faith or the power to believe.

Almost everyone had gone through difficult life encounters and experiences. These experiences and encounters usually define one’s existence, becoming important educators on life's course. However, the enemy, which is that negative force within, often would recognize these difficult experiences as symbols of yourself as one who is not “good enough” in order to succeed. Simply put, this is fear from within.

Fear, according to psychologists is normal and a natural line of attack focused to life's adjustments and changes. Fear is what prevents you from doing “crazy or stupid things”; but it may be carried to a great extent. When you fears nothing, you can be considered as “mad” and “foolish” but then again, fear of almost everything, specially fear to take risks can be considered as plain cowards. The enemy inside of you will tell you that your fear is reasonable when it is transitory.

As the mind dictates your fear, it also dictates your thoughts and your actions.
When you believe in your mind that relationships are complicated and demand so much effort, you will indeed attract those individuals who will cause difficulty in the relationship or demand a lot of effort from you. More significantly, when you worry regarding something that you essentially believe in negative outcomes, then so the result to your actions will be.
Of course, it does not occur every time that you think and believe negatively, because Although there is worry and apprehension inside you, there is still, in that little corner of your heart, of your mind, that you hope for a positive result, so then, that power prevents disaster from happening. Yet worrying through and through, without a small spark of hope, then beware, disaster is sure to come!

However there is so much more to faith and believing than simply creating beliefs. Possessing “positive beliefs” in the mind is the initial step towards making a positive outlook, resulting to a successful life.

Believing, take note is something entirely different. For instance you have “positive beliefs” with regards to money; at the same time, you believe that many ways are offered in order to acquire money. Yet if, for any reason you do not believe you will be able to make money, then you will not make that certain amount or sum of money that you want.

Getting through the fear, developing how you believe:

1. Your belief should be superior, exceeding fear. It will entail a lot of effort, but as much as you can, try to closely observe and listen inside of you, look around and see what is functioning well in your personal or business life and what is not. Small or great, profess your successes. Believe that you can reach great things and as early as now, begin counting your blessings.

2. Only believe in you, and in the things that you can do, and not in the circumstances. You have to believe in only yourself because there will be times when you will be tempted to put your belief into something else such as a job, a friend or a particular opportunity. Although this could be nice, note that people and circumstances are changeable. Your success should be created by only you, and you alone can decide whether to change it or not.

3. Keep in mind that success will take some time and if ever you do fail, take it as an opportunity to learn and reassess your beliefs and your goals.

The powers of believing are very strong and affect our decisions, feelings, and actions. And although you have been depending on a specific set of supposition regarding your life for so many years, those particular beliefs can be adjusted or changed.

Start changing it now!

Make this YOUR year.

When You Give, You Succeed

A very powerful act one can do in order to attract success and create an abundant life is to realize and acknowledge “the power of giving”, by way of giving unconditionally. It is a tremendously intense force magnetizing in you and your life; it will instantaneously take place at the mental, physical and spiritual platform of existence.

The universal laws that are in control over “giving and receiving” are spiritual as well as it is scientific.

Spiritual, that of whatever one will sow so those will he reap. Scientific, that of Isaac Newton’s motion theory which affirms that for each action there will always be an equal or opposite response or reaction. Meaning to say, when these laws will be implemented into one’s daily life, one attracts and creates the abundance or success which he/she desires.

Most individuals often associate giving, as about offering money. Although donating in terms of money comprises a great component, always know that the meaning of giving extends beyond money. When one thinks of giving in monetary terms, then one falls to the sentiment of scarcity, with the thought of what he has to give. The very act of sharing challenges directly one’s crooked beliefs and perceptions about inadequacy.

Giving is a power which stems from a very selfless act, that of simply giving from the heart. Wherein the act is not at all connected to any special occasion, such as Christmas, a birthday or any holiday celebration, rather it is “anytime”, primarily for one reason that is wanting to share what it is that you have, showing your gratitude and showing how you actually care. There must be no other reason behind it. Keep in mind that you do not give because you expect nothing in return.

Giving from your heart signals positive reactions to the universe, ignites your inner powers and sends out positive energy that will be picked up by others; this message that you transmit results in positive reactions that you will also pick up in time.

The response will be very overwhelming, often, as if thousands of helping hands come to offer help and stay with you in times when you need help, even without asking. Things will definitely fall into the proper place, because those that willingly give will get back what they had given a thousand fold.

This simple act of sharing unconditionally with full understanding and recognition that one has plenty and trust that he/she will continually have sufficient supply of all his needs produces a bond or connection between him and his higher power, universe, spirit, God or whoever one considers his higher supreme authority that is over him.

That connection is called trust in that higher power, which one declares that he, will always have plentiful, more than his needs and more to share with others, mainly because he trusts God.

One will earn the love and respect of the recipients of his act. One is always confident that there will always be someone who will protect and help him because of their gratitude, because humans will always have that need and impulse to give back any act of compassion that one has demonstrated.

Keep in mind though that, this does not imply that you should expect those that you have helped to do something for you in return. Just share and do not worry about the rewards. Give and share primarily because you feel a great source of happiness by doing it. The universe, that superior outside force will bring you back so many blessings at the right time, in its unique way, beyond your understanding.

The very act of sharing and giving will summon joy’s spirit to fill your heart. That feeling of overwhelming joy you experience when you have helped someone, when that someone thanked you, that itself is already true success.
Likewise, giving is a very healthy habit. It can prolong life when one feels that sense of inner accomplishment and peace.

Let fear and selfishness not be your source for giving. Always give from the heart and be aware of the little miracles that will start to arrive instantaneously.

Giving is truly a part of one’s human nature. That is the reason why when one does it one finds fulfilment and joy, as well as attracting so much blessings that can truly lead to success in all forms.

Merry Christmas

Unleashing your creative thinking

People seem to have the misconception that only a select few are able to unleash a steady flow of creative genius. That is not true at all. The fact is, creativity is very much like a muscle that needs to be exercised in order to consistently give out great results. If you don't practice harnessing creative thinking, this skill will very much atrophy into inexistence. But keep working and this skill will soon come to you in a snap.

So how do you unleash your creative thinking? Well, the first thing is to become a human leech. No, we're not talking about just sucking the blood out of every living being available, we're saying that you should take in as much knowledge and learning you can find. Read everything available -- good and bad, and keep your mind open to the infinite possibilities of the universe. The more you know, the more you'll want to know, and the more your faculty of wonder will be exercised. Prepare to be amazed at little facts that add a bit of colour into your life.

Focus on a creative activity everyday. Yes, it's an effort. Even doodling is a creative activity. Don't let anything hinder you. Mindlessness may be a creative activity, but for people who are just starting out to unleash a little bit of creative thinking in their lives, it is helpful and encouraging to have concrete evidence, that, "hey, what I'm doing is getting somewhere." So why don't you try it. Practice drawing for a couple of minutes each day. Bring out your old camera and start snapping photos like crazy. Keep a journal and make a point to write in it religiously. Another cool idea is to write by describing something with your five senses. Try to avoid vague adjectives like "marvellous," "amazing," and "delicious." Before you know it, you'll have built yourself a tiny portfolio, and you'll be amazed at the growth you've undertaken after amassing all those works of art. Who knows, you might actually take to liking those things you do everyday. Pretty soon those things will become a part of you and you'll be addicted to these creative exercises.

Think out of the box -- or don't. Sometimes, constraints are actually a good thing. Limitations discipline you to work within your means. It enables you to be more resourceful. Creative freedom is great, but limitations enforce discipline.

Try something new everyday and let your experiences broaden your perspective. Explore a new district in your neighbourhood. Spend sometime somewhere you've never been before. Chat up someone on the bus. Open up to the people around you. As you thrust yourself out of your comfort zone more and more each day, your sense of adventure grows and so does your zest for life. Think about it. When was the last time you did something for the first time? If it's been a while, I tell you, you've been missing out on a whole lot of experiences that could've added to your growth, emotionally, mentally, physically, or spiritually. Why don't you try something new today? Not only will you learn, but you will also have plenty of stories to share, enabling you to practice your storytelling skills and making you the life of the party.

Embrace insanity. No, not to the point of practically admitting yourself into the mental ward. As John Russell once said, "Sanity calms, but madness is more interesting." Exactly! Every creative thought was once deemed insanity by other "normal" people at one time or another. Luckily, that didn't stop the creative geniuses from standing by them. The thing is sanity or being normal confines people to think... well, normally. Within limits. Creativity is essentially breaking through barriers. Yes, this includes the bizarre and the downright strange. I'm not saying that you yourself should develop a creative personality. That might go haywire. An example of a creative personality would be George Washington, who often rode into battle naked, or James Joyce, who wrote "Dubliners" with beetle juice for an intense fear of ink, or Albert Einstein, who thought his cat was a spy sent by his rival (or in thinking creatively in this case, the term could probably be "arch nemesis.") It's important that your creativity doesn't get you detached from the real world completely.

I hope this article has inspired you to start thinking beyond your "limits." If you follow these steps pretty soon you'll be living a life full of interesting adventures. Unleashing your creative thinking will bring about a new zest for living life.

Beware The Closed Mind

Success in its broadest meaning is not limited to only monetary and material possessions. It reveals as being plentiful in countless and several forms in life and nature.

The universal spirit of consciousness, craves to continuously manifest and express itself; this power likewise expresses its longing to demonstrate success, which is naturally wanting to develop, to grow and become bigger and stronger.

However, many realize this longing and natural inclination for growth repressed in them, because of negative thinking, unconstructive programming, and not having enough faith in their abilities and themselves.

Every individual has dual natures. One wants your-self to move forward while the other feels like pulling back. The one nature that you concentrates and cultivates on determines what is at the final end, as both natures tries to hold and to be in control.

Your own “will” will resolve the issue alone. An individual by one utmost attempt of the “will” can change your whole vocation and accomplish miracles. Which is why having an open mind is very significant.

Having a closed mind grasps to a concept without much concern for evidence. They might have even reached at their concept without supporting material evidence. As a result, when they are presented with evidence that is contradicting to their concept, they immediately dismiss it.

Whereas having an open mind before reaching any conclusion, considers first the many evidences approving or disapproving the many interpretations of the concept. They do not just gather information. Their concern encourages them to weigh what they have learned and work towards reaching a decision or conclusion based on facts and evidences.

An open mind allows you to magnetize opportunities and insist and continue on following opportunities, regardless of how small they appear. An open mind is open to all opportunities and possibilities, big or small.

A closed mind however, is stubborn, wanting what the mind envisions without any delay and wanting it as exactly as what the mind perceived it to be, not willing to accept or try something else in its place, when that which the mind has envisioned can not be accomplished or reached.

When you close your mind and becomes stubborn, your essence tells your higher self, including the “powers of the universe” that you are not eager to mature and encounter new things, so then there will be no progress and no transformation and things in your life will never have a chance to improve.

Whatever the mind can envision, the mind can create. What the mind sees, believes feels and thinks are all conveyed to the subconscious mind that then works along with the universal forces and establishes your reality cantered on the visualization of the conscious mind.

Bear in mind though, that it is not sufficient to merely imagine and hope it materializes. Having the power to imagine means also having the power and the capability to work on it to achieve it.

You can achieve it when you open up your mind to success and get rid of limiting thoughts. As to how restricted your life may be and what the circumstances present you at the moment does not really matter, because when you decide to change your attitudes and thoughts, and begin to think without notable limitations, your life’s direction will begin to change.

Focus on possibilities, rather than limitations and expand your thoughts to what is that you believe as yourself.

Here are guidelines on how to program your thoughts for success:

1. Continuously and abundantly display images of your “model” persons, whom you want to become, and things that you want to accomplish. Read magazines containing stories and pictures of lives that you wish to attain.

2. Read autobiographies of successful people. Constantly read self-progress materials packed with examples and ideas of women and men who had set goals, overcome hardships and misfortunes and accomplished what they aimed for in the end.

3. Always affirm yourself. In each undertaking, take the time to focus, “close your eyes” and set a clear mental image of the outcome. Then repeatedly say and claim that you have already achieved it.

4. Nourish your mind with positive thoughts before sleeping, after waking up, at lunch break, anytime. Do not give a chance for negative thoughts to enter into your mind.

Thoughts hold great power. Be conscious of the thoughts that comes into your mind; let the positive in, never entertain the negative. Open up your mind to possibilities and never be afraid to try; if you fail, take it as an opportunity that you have learned so much from failing and try again.

Be Positive move forward

Good luck

The Key to a Better Life

Time management is basically about being focused. The Pareto Principle also known as the '80:20 Rule' states that 80% of efforts that are not time managed or unfocused generates only 20% of the desired output. However, 80% of the desired output can be generated using only 20% of a well time managed effort. Although the ratio '80:20' is only arbitrary, it is used to put emphasis on how much is lost or how much can be gained with time management.

Some people view time management as a list of rules that involves scheduling of appointments, goal settings, thorough planning, creating things to do lists and prioritizing. These are the core basics of time management that should be understood to develop an efficient personal time management skill. These basic skills can be fine tuned further to include the finer points of each skill that can give you that extra reserve to make the results you desire.

But there is more skills involved in time management than the core basics. Skills such as decision making, inherent abilities such as emotional intelligence and critical thinking are also essential to your personal growth.

Personal time management involves everything you do. No matter how big and no matter how small, everything counts. Each new knowledge you acquire, each new advice you consider, each new skill you develop should be taken into consideration.

Having a balanced life-style should be the key result in having personal time management. This is the main aspect that many practitioners of personal time management fail to grasp.

Time management is about getting results, not about being busy.

The six areas that personal time management seeks to improve in anyone's life are physical, intellectual, social, career, emotional and spiritual.

The physical aspect involves having a healthy body, less stress and fatigue.

The intellectual aspect involves learning and other mental growth activities.

The social aspect involves developing personal or intimate relations and being an active contributor to society.

The career aspect involves school and work.

The emotional aspect involves appropriate feelings and desires and manifesting them.

The spiritual aspect involves a personal quest for meaning.

Thoroughly planning and having a set of things to do list for each of the key areas may not be very practical, but determining which area in your life is not being giving enough attention is part of time management. Each area creates the whole you, if you are ignoring one area then you are ignoring an important part of yourself.

Personal time management should not be so daunting a task. It is a very sensible and reasonable approach in solving problems big or small.

A great way of learning time management and improving your personal life is to follow several basic activities.

One of them is to review your goals whether it be immediate or long-term goals often.

A way to do this is to keep a list that is always accessible to you.

Always determine which task is necessary or not necessary in achieving your goals and which activities are helping you maintain a balanced life style.

Each and everyone of us has a peek time and a time when we slow down, these are our natural cycles. We should be able to tell when to do the difficult tasks when we are the sharpest.

Learning to say "No". You actually see this advice often. Heed it even if it involves saying the word to family or friends.

Pat yourself at the back or just reward yourself in any manner for an effective time management result.

Try and get the cooperation from people around you who are actually benefiting from your efforts of time management.

Don't procrastinate. Attend to necessary things immediately.

Have a positive attitude and set yourself up for success. But be realistic in your approach in achieving your goals.

Have a record or journal of all your activities. This will help you get things in their proper perspective.

These are the few steps you initially take in becoming a well rounded individual.

As the say personal time management is the art and science of building a better life.

From the moment you integrate into your life time management skills, you have opened several options that can provide a broad spectrum of solutions to your personal growth. It also creates more doors for opportunities to knock on.

Enjoy Your Life: Change Your Point of View

"Two men look out through the same bars: One sees the mud, and one sees the stars."- Frederick Langbridge, A Cluster of Quiet Thoughts

If you’ve placed second in a writing contest, will you jump for joy and push for better results the next time or will you be discouraged and find an excuse not to join again?

In life, you are always filled with choices. You may opt to have a pessimist’s view and live a self-defeated life or you may decide to take the optimist’s route and take a challenging and fulfilling life.

So why nurture an optimist’s point of view? And why now?

Well, optimism has been linked to positive mood and good morale; to academic, athletic, military, occupational and political success; to popularity; to good health and even to long life and freedom from trauma.

On the other hand, the rates of depression and pessimism have never been higher. It affects middle-aged adults the same way it hits younger people. The mean age of onset has gone from 30 to 15. It is no longer a middle-aged housewife’s disorder but also a teen-ager’s disorder’ as well.

Here’s how optimists are in action and researches that back up why it really pays to be an optimist:

Optimists expect the best

The defining characteristic of pessimists is that they tend to believe bad events, which will last a long time and undermine everything they do, are their own fault.

The truth is optimists are confronted with the same hard knocks of this world. What differs is the way they explain their misfortune---it’s the opposite way. They tend to believe defeat is just a temporary setback, that its causes are confined to this one case.

Optimists tend to focus on and plan for the 'problem' at hand. They use 'positive reinterpretation.' In other words, they most likely reinterpret a negative experience in a way that helps them learn and grow. Such people are unfazed by bad situation, they perceive it is a challenge and try harder.

They won’t say “things will never get better,” “If I failed once, it will happen again” and “If I experience misfortune in one part of my life, then it will happen in my whole life.”

Positive expectancies of optimists also predict better reactions during transitions to new environments, sudden tragedies and unlikely turn of events. If they fall, they will stand up. They see opportunities instead of obstacles.

People respond positively to optimists

Optimists are proactive and less dependent on others for their happiness. They find no need to control or manipulate people. They usually draw people towards them. Their optimistic view of the world can be contagious and influence those they are with.

Optimism seems a socially desirable trait in all communities. Those who share optimism are generally accepted while those who spread gloom, panic and hysteria are treated unfavourably.

In life, these people often win elections; get voted most congenial and sought for advice.

When the going gets tough, optimists get tougher

Optimists typically maintain higher levels of subjective well-being during times of stress than do people who are less optimistic. In contrast, pessimists are likely to react to stressful events by denying that they exist or by avoiding dealing with problems. Pessimists are more likely to quit trying when difficulties arise.

They persevere. They just don’t give up easily, they are also known for their patience. Inching their way a step closer to that goal or elusive dream.

Optimists are healthier and live longer

Medical research has justified that simple pleasures and a positive outlook can cause a measurable increase in the body's ability to fight disease.

Optimists’ health is unusually good. They age well, much freer than most people from the usual physical ills of middle age. And they get to outlive those prone to negative thoughts.

So why not be an optimist today? And think positively towards a more fulfilled life.

Why not look forward to success in all your endeavours? Why not be resilient? Like everybody else you are bound to hit lows sometimes but don’t just stay there. Carry yourself out of the mud and improve your chances of getting back on the right track. And why not inspire others to remove their dark-coloured glasses and see life in the bright side?

Impossible is Just a Word

Everyone, at some point of his or her life, has dreamed of being somebody special, somebody big. Who hasn't fantasized about being the one who kicks the game-winning goal? Who hasn't dreamed of being the homecoming queen? And how many times have we dreamed of being rich, or successful, or happy with our relationships?

Often, we dream big dreams and have great aspirations. Unfortunately, our dreams remain just that – dreams. And our aspirations easily collect dust in our attic.

This is a sad turn of events in our life. Instead of experiencing exciting adventures in self actualization, we get caught up in the humdrum of living from day-to-day just barely existing.

But you know what? Life could be so much better, if only we learned to aim higher.

The most common problem to setting goals is the word impossible. Most people get hung up thinking I can't do this. It's too hard. It's too impossible. No one can do this.

However, if everyone thought that, there would be no inventions, no innovations, and no breakthroughs in human accomplishment.

Remember that scientists were baffled when they took a look at the humble bumblebee. Theoretically, they said, it was impossible for the bumblebee to fly. Unfortunately for the bumble, bee no one has told it so. So fly it does.

On the other hand, some people suffer from dreaming totally outrageous dreams and not acting on them. The result? Broken dreams, and tattered aspirations.

If you limit yourself with self-doubt, and self-limiting assumptions, you will never be able to break past what you deem impossible. If you reach too far out into the sky without working towards your goal, you will find yourself clinging on to the impossible dream.

Try this exercise. Take a piece of paper and write down some goals in your life. Under one header, list down things ‘you know you can do’. Under another header, write the things ‘you might be able to do.’ And under one more, list the things that that are ‘impossible for you to do.’

Now look at all the headers strive every day to accomplish the goals that are under things ‘you know you can do’. Check them when you are able to accomplish them. As you slowly are able to check all of your goals under that heading, try accomplishing the goals under the other header-the one that reads ‘you might be able to do.’

As of the items you wrote under things I could do are accomplished, you can move the goals that are under things that are ‘impossible for you to do’ to the list of things ‘you might be able to do.’

As you iterate through this process, you will find out that the goals you thought were impossible become easier to accomplish. And the impossible begin to seem possible after all.

You see, the technique here is not to limit your imagination. It is to aim high, and start working towards that goal little by little. However, it also is unwise to set a goal that is truly unrealistic.

Those who just dream towards a goal without working hard end up disappointed and disillusioned.

On the other hand, if you told someone a hundred years ago that it was possible for man to be on the moon, they would laugh at you. If you had told them that you could send mail from here to the other side of the world in a few seconds, they would say you were out of your mind. But, through sheer desire and perseverance, these impossible dreams are now realities.

Thomas Edison once said that genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Nothing could be truer. For a person to accomplish his or her dreams, there has to be had work and discipline. But take note that that 1% has to be a think-big dream, and not some easily accomplished one.

Ask any gym rat and he or she will tell you that there can be no gains unless you are put out of your comfort zone. Remember the saying, “No pain, no gain”? That is as true as it can be.

So dream on! Don’t get caught up with your perceived limitations. Think big and work hard to attain those dreams. As you step up the ladder of progress, you will just about find out that the impossible has just become a little bit more possible.

Keep Smiling

Len

What do I have to sacrifice to succeed?

It's very easy to get the perception when you jump online that everyone's making money. It's seems all you have to do is sign up for any program that promises a fortune to you if you follow their plan and give them lot's of money to get started.
There are a lot of people making money online. But there is a common factor with all these people. And you will never know what it is reading a sales page! Let me repeat that. You will never no what makes people successful online by reading a Sales Page!
You must understand if you read a sales page and it suggests that you can become rich by sending them some money, don't be fooled. The sales page may even outline how people have taken advantage of this system and it worked for them! They made millions applying these Secret Techniques...
They will even give you fancy testimonials. Never let testimonials be the deciding factor if you're going to pursue an opportunity. They are easily fabricated. Many times marketers will promote each others products not because they believe or care about them, but because it's good for their business.
"So what does that mean? You still haven't told me what I need to sacrifice!"
You must sacrifice your approach. Don't believe everything you read. Learn to research, ask questions, and find the answers. Don't jump into anything without weighing the risk.
Now some of you might have unlimited funds. Many of you may not. It doesn't matter. Time translates into money. Remember time is money!
I challenge you to decide what you are worth today. Is your time worth £10 per hour? Or is it worth £25? Don't forget to factor in your living expenses and overhead...
Approach everything like your survival depends on it. A decision you make today may allow you to survive a few months but crush you in 6. Everything has a long term effect.
If you pursue something that costs £250 and you're worth £10 per hour, you have to work 50 hours to make that up.... why? Because you might have spent 25 hours figuring it out and implementing it.
You can see how it can be devastating if it turns out it doesn't work... Change your approach.
One more thing, the people that are successful online aren't selling their success secrets. It's all hype. The people that are selling success secrets are most likely successful only because people buy into their bogus program

People photography

If you enjoy photographing events and love to take pictures of people have you ever considered photography as a career or even just a means to making some money on the side to pay for your hobby?Probably the hardest part is getting started. These days it’s probably easier than it has ever been to get into photography as a profession. What with the introduction of digital Portrait and wedding photography, taking photographs has become a lot easier, sorting and presenting the photographs is also much cheaper and can be made to look a lot more professional, as you don’t have to print any photographs that you are not going to sell, and all your presentation can be done as a CD slide show.Probably the best way to start is to take portraits to get a bit of experience, why not try a bit of event photography to help you to get used to working fast.Digital wedding photography tips...Certainly don’t try any digital wedding photography until you feel pretty confident.Try to get some experience of wedding photography by offering to go out with a professional wedding photographer for a few occasions. Offer him the opportunity to use any photographs that you may take as a thank you for the experience. If you can get proficient at digital wedding photography you will always be able to earn a bit of extra money. (As there are always more weddings on a Saturday than there will ever be enough wedding photographers to cover them.)Most good wedding photographers love doing weddings and that’s what probably makes them good. However, some very good portrait and general photographers start to go grey just thinking they may have to do a wedding.A word of warning! If you find it hard to talk to people, leave wedding photography well alone. For more information on digital wedding photography tips and other photography subjects keep en eye on future postings here.

Create a Painting of your Pet and make it your own Masterpiece

by Anthony P. Palmieri
Abstract:
Turn your pet picture into a painting. Imagine that pictures of your Shih Tzu, Yorkshire Terrier, Pekingese or other beloved pet are transformed into a work of art. Home PC's and the evolution of software and inexpensive printers expands the capabilities for even the home user making this a possibility. By spending a little bit of money on graphics programs, and a computer, coupled with a bit of creativity, you can turn your digital pictures into much more than just photographs. This evolution has enabled people to express their personality into family pictures as well as other loves such as cars, and pets.
Create a Painting of your Pet and make it your own Masterpiece
An artist used a brush, a pencil, clay or some other medium to create their own masterpiece. When you consign one of these professionals you are not just paying for the final product, but for their experience and talent. Often people art to express their personality, their loves, hobbies and other things. In any case the creative nature that we have comes to the surface once we have the tools and have developed ability to accomplish this. One area that has continued to grow as a result of technological advancement is with computer enhanced graphics. Faster home computers coupled with programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator have taken the high end graphics work once limited to corporations to smaller businesses. The most basic photo manipulation is to correct flaws in the picture, which can be expanded to the more advanced creation of fantasy scenes, such as overlaying multiple images and the addition of special effects.
Now be creative and think how a person can simulate a painting without being an artist. Can it be done? To the purist, anything but the real thing is not art. Does that mean that a cubic zirconia is not real? Why do people purchase them? Well, part of the reason is cost, and an imitation is must much less expensive. So here is the question; can you enjoy something that is not 100% real? I think so.
Lets take advantage of technology. Purchase a graphics program such as Photoshop, and a filter set that enables you to transform a photograph into a painting like image. You will have to experiment with various settings to get it realistic and that will take trial and error to get it just right. Print it out and you are almost there, but the problem is you now you have a 2 dimensional print. Touch a painting, and you will feel a texture from the brush. That texture is a 3rd dimension that adds depth, and various reflections and shadows bringing the picture to life. Can we do this with a print? Yes.
Using various shellacs and varnishes applied to the surface of a print, you can simulate a painting, and add that 3rd dimension. This surface texture must be added in steps. Remember that you are applying a liquid to a paper, and the paper will have a tendency to want to wrinkle and curl. A little bit of wrinkle is actually good, since a real painting will not be perfectly flat. The first coat should be thin and cover the entire surface. This provides a sealer coat. After that coat is fully dry, add a second, third and even 4th coating. With these coatings the focus is to create the brush strokes, and the texture. To make it realistic, you need to paint the picture with the coating as if you are actually painting it. For example if you have a vertical post you need to dray the brush up and down, not across. It becomes a bit more challenging when you are trying to paint a pet. There are many contours, and angles, the fur is fluffy and curved and you need to match the image.
This article gives you an idea of how to get started to create your own simulated painting. Some owners would rather purchase a custom picture of their pet . So, this desire for creativity by these pet owners has spurred an industry that caters directly to them. The pet lover is a proud group that loves to express their love for their pets. These owners take their pets to the experts for advice on how to train them, expert groomers for that perfect coat and the list goes on. Now another option that expends beyond standard photography provides a second level of creativity. One company that understands this area extremely well is Palmieri Concepts. and they have done a wonderful job of these conversions. Besides the founders being a pet owners for many years, and having a house full of pets, this company has spent years talking with owners and listening to them to understand their needs and wants before it even became a company. Often the owners knew they wanted something different, but was not sure exactly what or how to accomplish it. By listening to them, and understanding what could be done, their needs were met. Some of the nontraditional examples included the idea of having fantasy backgrounds such as a dog floating on a rainbow, to taking a color photograph and making it look like an old black and white.
For the serious owner, most have a special wall in their house or office with pictures and posters of their pets and even similar ones. Often these pictures were done in the traditional style of "point-shoot-develop-print-frame". The custom graphics companies that specialize in the photography industry have now taken the "develop" stage to the next level with custom image enhancements. These enhancements could be as simple as a picture of your pet overlaid on a family photograph, or even a key element such as the dog tag with their name on it. By combining this level of graphics, a plain photograph is transformed from just a photograph to an expression of personality. There are many examples of what I have described on line and www.PalmieriConcepts.com in the Pets section has a selection of examples that will give you many ideas that you can incorporate into your own works. The pictures there of the Shih Tzu, Yorkshire Terrier, Pekingese are my inspiration to do this
Anthony Palmieri founded Palmieri Concepts after 20 years of creating custom art work for his own pleasure and enjoyment. This business grew out of a love for motor vehicles and was started to share with others what started out as a hobby. After taking how his own pride and joys (yes this really started with family pictures and not cars) and combining them with creativity, it became obvious that many others would like to showcase their tr

How to Retouch a Digital Camera Picture

by Timothy Firth
Retouching can be considered the act of blending in those colors that make a seamless presentation. It is often used to correct for blemishes on a person's skin, or the "red-eye" effect that can occur with flash photography. It is also a restorative process for photos or other source artwork that has some areas that have been compromised by handling or scratching, etc. The retoucher will use their judgment to restore the colors to segments of the picture that tend to reconstitute the image as it was before being damaged.
Two application programs that are useful in retouching will be discussed, MS Paint and JASC's Paint Shop Pro.
Because the specific technique useful for a given project will call upon a series of complex and arcane steps, only an overview of the capabilities of these two applications will be discussed. The user is encouraged to become familiar with the basics of the program you intend to use - to experiment with some of the steps relevant to a chosen retouching technique - to call on the "Help" files to obtain guidance on how to use the features, etc.
The two applications have some tools that are similar, and the principles of operation have commonality. The "eyedropper" tool is used to sample color from the source artwork or from a color palette. There are a variety of application tools for applying this color to the areas you choose. You can create a custom palette of colors, or you can "measure" the color that has been sampled by using "custom colors." The measure of a color is defined by its saturation, intensity, and hue. In regard to the colors that appear on your screen, they are defined by a "triad" of the colors red, green, and blue (RGB), with the intensity of each defined by an eight-bit number. The decimal value of this number ranges from zero for black, or absence of intensity to 255 for the maximum intensity of that basic RGB color. Note that a specific color includes an intensity value for each of the colors red, green, and blue.
Often, there will be an equivalent of the decimal value stated in some other way, perhaps as a two-character hexadecimal number or as a character symbol that is part of a defined character group that has a corresponding number between 0 and 255, as in an ASCII (American Society for Character Information Interchange) code. Regarding hexadecimal numbers in relation to decimal numbers, F in hexadecimal corresponds to 15 in decimal and FF corresponds to 255. Hexadecimal is a base-16 counting system, and decimal is a base-10 counting system. Hexadecimal has features that make it convenient to use with computer systems and with characterizing intensity levels of the RGB color triad.
Either application can be used to insert chosen colors into areas that need retouching. MS Paint allows you to place discrete colors within any pixel. It allows you to sample the color existing within a given pixel and apply that color over one or more pixels in patterns that are governed by the application tool. It also allows you to sample a rectangular patch of pixels, over which the colors may vary, and replicate that patch wherever you wish.
Paint Shop Pro has application tools that allow you to sample a color and apply it in a manner in which the density of the applied color is greatest at the point of application and diminishes as you get farther from the point of application. In other words, the application tool can be much like an airbrush, with the greatest density under the spray nozzle, and an overspray that can be adjusted by settings. Paint Shop Pro also has a layering feature that lets you determine the relative opacity of either layer - that is, you can make a custom layer with a pattern of applied colors that have a tendency to correct the source artwork, and determine later how much influence this layer should have in the evolution of the final image. In general, the custom layer overlays the source artwork in the temporary image seen by the program. You can manipulate the pattern of color and it's density, as well as control the transparency of this layer so you can obtain the desired result. When satisfied with the result, save the temporary image to a permanent image file.

The Whole New World Of Digital Wedding Photography

By: Marius Ciobanu
When it comes to your wedding day, choosing the appropriate vendors can help you showcase your personality and create the type of day that you have been dreaming of for a lifetime. From the food and the flowers to the dress and the music, every detail is attended to with great love and passion. The wedding photography, above all else, is the detail that will have the most lasting impact on your day, as your photos will be that which you share with generations of family to come in order to give them a glimpse into your special day. Further, your wedding photos will be your keepsake for a lifetime, bringing you back to that special moment in time. Digital wedding photography has taken this long held tradition and brought it into the modern world where it can make its truly spectacular mark.Digital wedding photography utilizes digital technology to capture your wedding day. The obvious advantage during the actual event is that the photographer has the ability to see the results on the spot and retake the picture if necessary. This is a once in a lifetime event. And in the past, there was no opportunity for retake had a picture turned out poorly. This would have been especially devastating if photos were taken of elderly relatives or people you dont often see; gone was a moment in time that you were not able to successfully capture. But todays digital wedding photography gives an immediate second chance to capture that never-to-be-repeated moment. The benefit of this is indescribable. The other advantages of digital wedding photography occur after the actual wedding. No longer must couples wait for lengthy developing in order to view their wedding pictures and decide what they would like included in an album. Digital wedding photography can be downloaded onto a computer and instantly seen saving enormous time and expense for all parties involved. Of course, the inclusion of the computer provides the opportunity for color correction and further enhancing at the click of a button. But perhaps the most significant benefit to digital wedding photography is the opportunity to share your wedding day with family and friends far and wide regardless of whether or not they were able to attend your big day. Digital wedding pictures downloaded on the computer can be instantly accessed and seen all over the world. Further, family and friends can choose to order prints if they so choose avoiding the expense of copying and sending pictures to multitudes of people.Digital wedding photography is a contemporary component in the traditional world of weddings bringing this time honored tradition into the modern world. For easy to understand, in depth information about digital wedding photography visit our ezGuide 2 http://weddingphotography.ezguide2.com

Start editing your new digital photos now

by Dan Brown
Computers often crash and it can be very difficult and costly to recover data from a computer's hard drive. Consider using a photo sharing website; they are a good way to store and obviously share your pictures with family and friends. Photo sharing sites don't charge much to store pictures and some of them are even free. When choosing one, make sure the site have been around for a while and is here to stay. Some photo sharing sites have shut down without notice, causing their members to loose all their valuable photos.
One of the most recognized and utilized programs for photo editing is Adobe's Photoshop. From this software the term "shopped" was phrased. People who work with and view photography use the term to refer to photographs which appear to have been manipulated to show something that was not in the original photograph, to remove something which was, or when the appearance of a person or object in the photo seems to have been altered. For example, you find a picture of a group of famous (or infamous) people, then you replace the face of one of them with your own for laughs, you have "shopped" the photo. Other programs are Corel Paint Shop Pro, and Serif Photo Plus, to name but a few. There are basic photo editing programs available that allow you to do basic adjustments and learn basic photo manipulation. Some of these programs can be found for free such as Gimp for Windows, Serif's Photo Plus, Paint.NET, Image Forge, Pixia, Ultimate Paint, and several others.
The resolution of your computer's monitor can greatly affect the outcome of your photos. This is the amount of pixels there are on the screen. The more there are, generally, the better the quality of the images. Making sure you have a monitor that is suited for photo editing is an important part of the process. However, you must remember that certain resolutions are meant for certain sized monitors. A large resolution on a small monitor makes everything too small, whereas the opposite makes everything too big. Make sure you know what resolution your monitor is made for. The display resolution of a digital television or computer display typically refers to the number of distinct pixels in each dimension that can be displayed. Some commentators also use this term to indicate a range of input formats that the display's input electronics will accept and often include formats greater than the screen's native grid size even though they have to be down-scaled to match the screen's parameters. An example of pixel shape affecting "resolution" or perceived sharpness is displaying more information in a smaller area using a higher resolution, which makes the image much clearer.
One problem people face when starting out with digital photography is how to touch up raw digital images. Perhaps an image is slightly dark, perhaps it has to be rotated or cropped. Maybe some dirty spots have to be cleaned out and erased. Digital photos usually require some form of manipulation before final output, unless, of course one takes a perfect picture. The first step is to find an image editor. For beginners, a program that has easy, simple tools will do just fine. More advanced people can move on to more complicated programs. There are many pictures that you've probably taken that would've looked great except for the red-eye. Just about every graphics program has a red-eye removal, so that no matter what level your program is you'll be able to remove the red-eye. However, in order to prevent it in the first place, it helps to know what causes it. Red-eye is caused by the flash reflecting to the back of the eyes all the way to the retina, and the red comes from the blood vessels in the eye. Therefore, if you flash a light in the eyes of your subject, this will cause the pupil to contract, and then there won't be any red-eye.
Sometimes, clear lines that separate the images in the panorama may appear. It is possible to blend the lines so that they disappear. Select the Advance Blending option located at the right of the Photomerge window, then select Preview. Inconsistencies in color will be calculated by the program. At this point, the images will blend together. Photoshop will combine all the individual images for your panoramic into a single layer. If you select the Keep as Layers option it is easier to edit each image individually. This is a great help if one of the images is brighter or darker then the other images. You can select that image in layers and adjust the brightness for just that image. It is a good idea to save the layers as a .psd file so that you can always come back and correct any mistakes or make any changes later. It's a real pain to have to redo everything from scratch just if you made a mistake or want to change something later. You can also distort the pictures so that the scene will look like it is in perspective. Choose the Perspective option on the bottom of Settings. You can also do this by choosing Set Vanishing Point in the Photomerge window, then click to an area in the panorama.
Look sharp. Be sharp. But keep your hands off the "sharpening" menu. You'll notice that I did not tell you to sharpen the image in the list of things to do above. Why? Because that's how most pictures get ruined. Sharpening can't be undone. Sharpening should be the very last thing you do to an image before you print it or place it in an on-screen album. Do NOT sharpen an image before saving it. If you decide you want to return to the picture later to edit it some more, you'll be in a pickle. Do all your sharpening on temporary copies that you are planning to print or send to the Web. Don't be judge and jury. If you're not sure whether one of your images looks better or worse after editing, ask someone else to take a look. Show side-by-side versions, before and after your editing. Don't start a family argument if your spouse (or, worse yet, your 9-year-old) says you have no talent. Be honest about what others see.
At times the subject of a picture is lost in the surrounding parts of a picture. If this happens, you can always crop your picture. This means cutting down the picture to a certain size. There are many ways to do this in terms of the size of cropping. In just about every photo editing program there is a cropping tool, and you can experiment with the size of the area that you take out of your photograph. If you don't like what you've done, all you have to do is click "undo."
Begin a new way towards editing digital photos editing digital photos now. Start reading a great report on skin blemishes start fixing your photos now!
